Children's Karate
To give your child the best experience possible, we have age-specific classes that we offer. This allows us to work with a student on their age and ability level so as they are able to succeed and get the most out of the program both physically, mentally, and socially. This is an overview of the different class groups we have available:Little Dragons (3-4 year olds) - This class is based on teaching basic skills such as balance, listening, learning rights and lefts, and basic karate skills in a very fun environment. Tots (5-6 year olds) - Our Tot class level introduces the structure and discipline of the martial arts in a fun, high energy, yet controlled environment. We develop skills based on balancing, coordination, safety awareness, and an introduction to Self control, Respect for others, and Self Discipline. Juniors (7-11 Year olds) - Our Junior beginner class is a fun, fast-paced group with an emphasis on children learning fundamental martial arts and self defense skills and how it impacts both the body and the mind. Students will develop their character through the 3 rules of self control, self discipline and respect, as well as building a positive self image. Teens (12-15 year olds) - As many parents would agree, teens have their own special challenges. This class places a focus on building confidence in your teenager by developing social skills and enhancing their self image, while developing self control and respect for others and giving a positive outlet for their behavior during this challenging time.
"When John first started Karate he had all kinds of trouble focusing. He would bounce around, be all over the place at home, and just had so much energy. After being in Karate, he stays on his star, he has calmed down quit a bit at home, and if he ever needs reminders, we just ask him about if he is showing self control. Its really made a difference for our son."
"My daughter was so shy when she first started karate. She was being picked on and even bullied. Within a few weeks, she was starting to raise her hand to answer questions and even start to become more vocal. It was a shock. Im so happy that she started."

Adult Karate
Our beginner adult classes focus on the needs and goals of adult students. We give our adults a great workout by helping them build stamina, develop more flexibility, relieve stress, lose weight, and develop a better image. During classes, we take the time to work on the self defense aspect of the martial arts more in depth. While working on the traditional martial arts training, we also show you how to apply what you are doing should a dangerous situation arise.
"The gym just wasn't my thing. I got bored and started gaining weight again. I had always wanted to try karate, so I called up Villari's. When I came in, the thing I liked the most was how Mr. Olson really took the time to make sure I was comfortable with what I was doing and explained everything before going into class for the first time. I had a great time. The staff do a great job.
"I got my children started about a year ago, then I came in and took one of the women's self defense seminars that was offered and had a great time. The instructors encouraged me to try a class, so I came in and gave it a go the following week. I was so nervous, but everyone was very welcoming. Loved the class, so I got started myself."
Our instructors have not only mastered their Martial arts abilities, but are trained to teach both children and adults of all ages.
